E’ for about a year fio.PSD He collaborates with Street Newspapers Scarpa of’ Tennis, Piazza Grande (Bologna), Shaker (Roma) e Telestrada Press (Catania). Every month a space on the heads of the Federation is dedicated to insights that is extremely pleased to be alongside the voices of the people and to tell the stories of the difficult life everyday, of feelings, of paure, wish. In Italy, the first street newspapers were born in the first half of the nineties and present significant opportunities for the excluded and the marginalized.
E’ large Square the first street paper that is born in Italy, in Bologna, in 1993, to combat social exclusion and affirm the rights of the homeless. Initially it is written and edited entirely by homeless people. The logic, innovative in the early nineties, is that of mortgage-self-help: not a type of care intervention, but the accompaniment in a project that enhances the individual's ability. In this way the person is not only passively helped, but it helps itself, with his own forces, and it provides support for those who are in a similar condition.
He was born in Milan in 1994, from an idea of Pietro Greppi and a pair of shoes. Greppi, an advertising, Milan wanted to implant the experience of street magazine of Anglo-Saxon origin: we succeeded, adopting as a head, the title of the famous song by Enzo Whittaker describing adventures and humanity of a "Flounder". The project, after about a year and a half (14 numbers), agree with Greppi passed to Caritas Ambrosiana that, in collaboration with CGIL, Cisl, Uil di Milano and the Association of Friendship Dinner, he "took over" the idea allowing Scarp to continue with greater energy and to develop structured as a social project that involves the outset dozens of homeless people, severely marginalized, in poverty, discomfort, addiction. Shacker, Thoughts homeless, a street newspaper in Rome, out for the first time in December 2006. It is a magazine designed and written by homeless people, Guests at the Multipurpose Center Rail 95 Termini, participating in the workshopCreative Writing, with the support of operators, volunteers and the staff of Europe Consulting Onlus, Cooperative Social publishing of the newspaper. The magazine, from the first pages, It aims to promote social inclusion of marginalized people and the fight against poverty.
The Editors TeleStrada Press, first and only Sicilian street newspaper, sponsored by the Vincentian Missionaries of Catania and welcomed at the Inn of the Good Samaritan, shelter for the poor,there is also a second version in Palermo at the Association The Dance of Shadows. TeleStrada deals with social issues. The project is completely self-financed and self-managed by homeless people that are involved and some volunteers. The aim is purely beneficial and is helping the homeless, or with severe discomfort, to rediscover the hope often denied because of indifference.
